A rose by any other name...

Combining Vastu and Veda gives us “the science of how to create places.” It is spatial design according to the natural laws of the universe. Some call it Vastu Vidya, which is grammatically more correct. Or perhaps just Vastu, though that sort of misses half the equation. Others might refer to it as Vastu Shastra, as this knowledge certainly comes from sacred treatises. And the source of all this wisdom is the Sthapatya Veda, which refers to the person who applies these principles in the first place: the architect. I prefer Vastu Veda, because this clearly aligns the practice with others from the Vedic tradition, such as Ayur Veda for health and medicine and Gandharva Veda for music. Of course, all of these have their double “a” counterparts (e.g. Vaastu Shastra) just to remind us to all say AAAAAAHHH!
